Peach Days!!

They opened up the church orchard in Hurricane to anyone last Saturday. Jim and Kayden went and picked two big huge rubbermaids full of peaches, then Melissa went to the Cannery and got a whole bunch more. So needless to say we had to do something with all of those peaches. Melissa and I spent all day Monday making peach syrup, peach jam, and bottling peaches. We had fun but were sure glad when we were finished. This is my once a year canning project. We could never keep up with my sister Kim who bottles everything but the kitchen sink. You amaze us Kim.

Wow ang.... I don't even can or let alone have more than two cans of anything so way to go. I would LOVE to eat some of those peaches right now too! My neighbor brought me over a peach pie and I thought, wow I should eat these more often they were so delicious!

Impressive ladies!!! How I remember those "fun" days of bottling fruit! Nothing tastes as good as home bottled fruit--Jimmy you're a lucky man! Dad would love some. Miss you
